Upcoming Events

When/ Where: Details of the next writing workshop are TBD for 2025

What:

We hold annual in-person workshops for advice on how to write a BBSRC FTMA 24-27 funding application. These workshops will run once a year and include advice for new applicants and the opportunity to discuss anything you are unsure about.

The workshops are intended to foster equitable access and support people who might have not applied for funding before. They are also a great opportunity to meet colleagues and discuss career mobility and skills in the BBSRC remit.

Lunch will be provided.

Who:

The workshop is open to all potential applicants at the University of Dundee, the James Hutton Institute, and the University of St Andrews, including Early-Career Researchers, Research Technical Professionals, and other research or professional staff.

If you are collaborating on an application with an applicant from one of the three research organisations, you are very welcome to register and attend.

Follow-up steps:

The next deadline for applications will be announced soon.

We can arrange (optional) mentoring for application-writing following the first workshop to speak with you about your needs. We can then support you to approach an experienced member of staff at your research organisation to provide ongoing advice.
